Company Description CoreOnco | Centre for Oncology Research & Education (COREONCO) is a dedicated cancer care center providing comprehensive services including diagnostics, day care, inpatient care, surgical oncology, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, cryosurgery, and palliative care. The center focuses on timely access to treatment, aiming to initiate cancer therapy within 24–72 hours of consultation. COREONCO is supported by a team of experienced surgeons with backgrounds from leading institutions such as TATA Memorial, Mumbai, AIIMS, and KGMU. The center offers first consultations free of cost and provides scheme-enabled and free cancer treatment options for eligible and needy patients, emphasizing accessibility and compassionate care.
Role Description The Medical Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Lucknow, responsible for providing high-quality medical care to oncology patients across outpatient, daycare, and inpatient settings. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting clinical assessments, reviewing diagnostic reports, assisting in treatment planning, prescribing and monitoring chemotherapy and supportive care, and coordinating with surgical and medical oncology teams. The role involves close collaboration with senior physicians and surgeons, ensuring continuity of care, timely interventions, and adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards. The Medical Officer will also participate in patient counseling, documentation, and quality improvement activities, while supporting training and education initiatives for clinical staff and trainees.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Medicine and oncology-related clinical practice, with the ability to manage common cancer presentations and treatment side effects.
- Demonstrated Patient Care skills, including clinical examination, history taking, empathetic communication, and patient and family counseling.
- Experience or interest in Surgery support, including pre- and post-operative patient management and coordination with surgical oncology teams.
- Ability to work effectively with Physicians and multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaborative decision-making and integrated care pathways.
- Capability to contribute to Training activities for junior doctors, nurses, and support staff, promoting best practices in oncology care.
- Recognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with valid registration; postgraduate qualification in oncology or internal medicine is an advantage.
- Prior experience in oncology or tertiary care hospitals is preferred, with familiarity in chemotherapy protocols and emergency management.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and clinical decision-making skills, with commitment to ethical practice and continuous learning.
